Happy
Mother's Day
For
the week of May 11, 2008 - This is a week of new ideas and
concepts; they seem to flutter on the energies like blossoms
of the dogwood trees being released to the gentle winds.
Know that you are ripe with creative energy, and that the
ideas and inspirations that are now cluttering your thoughts
are ones that have been developed over the past years and
winters. They now ripen and call for recognition and expression.
Sunday
can feel a little off this week. Even though it was Mother's
Day, with the energy shifts going on around us it could seem
a little shaky. Use this energy to make changes happen for
you, NOT to you. Mars is in Leo, so you will have a ton of
energy this week to make great shifts for the positive.
It will be a great week for organization and sifting through
our TO DO piles. Go ahead get it done before Mercury goes
Retrograde, because it will be easier to do this now than
later. You might have been too sleepy lately to get it all
done, but now that the energy is upon all of us, make sure
and utilize it before we tire again in June.
This is a week to look at friendships and relationships, and
ask yourself questions like: "Am I hanging with the right
crowd? Do I fit in with them anymore?"
Assess your emotions this week and who serves you the best
to be around. This does not always mean just dump them, but
you can back off if the relationship is not good for you.
I have recently let go of many people in my life. It was very
freeing, and I feel great.
This is a pretty calm week for most of us, so get your act
together, and get ready because many lives will turn a little
topsy-turvy in June.
The more you manifest and you introduce into your own reality,
the more abundance you will call to yourself. The old concept
of what you put out there returns to you, is greatly multiplied
during the next week.
Open
those inner channels of creativity and let it flow, for this
is a season in which those seeds of creation and wisdom will
take root and grow into creations that will bring great abundance
to you on all levels. Where once creative energy was held
within, it is now time to let it flow and bring greater light
and joy into your worlds. Write, paint, create with whatever
modality fits the moment and the inclination; youll
not be disappointed.
A Mother's Day reading to share:
During
a reading I was doing with a client on Mother's Day, she made
the statement: "When I grow up..." This seemingly
small, funny, statement has kept this woman, who is in her
forties, from being able to move forward on her spiritual
path, even though she is incredibly intelligent and spiritual.
You may be wondering why this seemingly small statement would
affect her in this way?
One simple reason: she was always told she was wrong as a
child by her mom. She couldnt move forward as the adult
she is without always knowing she was totally correct, and
this made her doubt all she is and believes. This caused many
of her major life decisions to be made by her young 8 year
old inner child's mind, rather than her as the older intelligent
adult.
How
many of us make decisions we would not have made if we did
it as the adult we are now, rather than the one who still
craves our mother's love? How many of us say things on a daily
basis, but do not realize how they actually affect our lives?
How many of us say little sentences, like the "When I
grow up..." statement above, that continue to keep us
stuck and stagnant?
Start
a journal and write what messages you send to yourself each
day with your thoughts and words, and then really think about
what these statements mean to you, and how they are affecting
your life.
The
Meaning of Mother's Day
The
words Mom or Mother have so many meanings to all of us. There
is so much power behind the word Mom. It can mean unconditional
love, and sometimes it can mean many lessons for us to learn.
However, Mother's Day is time to honor the woman who chose
to allow us into her personal body space, and then into her
physical and emotional realm of love and support. We should
never forget to honor any woman/mother who chose to adopt
a child, or the many pseudo Moms who take us into their lives
and becomes like a Moms to us.
This can be a a very happy or sad time of the year. It can
be happy for those of us who still have our Moms in our day-to-day
lives, by phone, Email, or in person; yet very sad for those
of us who have lost our Moms at some point in this lifetime.
What is a good, loving, Mom? She is more than a woman that
births a child; she is a support system. She is there to love
and not to judge us; to laugh and to listen; to let us make
our mistakes, and to be there to cry with when we make them.
She can be our warrior and our safe space, in a world that
is sometimes a harsh place to live. Many times our mom is
our best friend. This woman does not sleep at night when her
children are troubled, and she is there for her loved ones
at all times. A Mom, especially a really great Mom, is a wonderful
gift to be blessed with.
A Mom is a spiritual vessel to help move us along on our path
that we chose to live in this lifetime. If we are lucky, we
did not choose to come and learn tough emotional lessons with
our Mom. However, if we did choose the tough lessons, and
she is not a loving Mom, we need to remember that we chose
this path. We can still honor her for allowing us to come
into this lifetime; to learn, to live, to walk on our path,
and to see the value of life and each breath we take every
day.
Mom is your physical foundation. From the day we enter this
world, even though the umbilical chord is cut, we will always
stay energetically connected to our Mom through that physical
chord. She is your foundation. Just like the cement part of
any building, if that cracks, crumbles, or disintegrates,
the building falls down. When our Mom dies, our building can
also fall down, and we may have to totally rebuild our lives.
If you had a rough, lesson learning mom, and her opinions
or treatment are still bothersome, you may be carrying her
issues forward that don't belong to you. If you find that
your thoughts or your relationships are dysfunctional, I can
remove these negative aspects of the relationship with your
mother from you with a healing.
If
you have questions as to why you chose your specific Mom,
whether is was karmically or emotional lessons you needed
to learn, we can also work on these issues.
Would you like to hear any messages from your passed-on mother?
I can also do this for you.
