During our reading, I didn't give Tonya any details of my father's death, but it was amazing what she knew. Here are the events leading up to my Dad's death - followed by what Tonya told me. Keep in mind - I only told Tonya that my father had passed away. I had been out of town for a couple of days with work. When I returned I called my Dad and didn't get an answer. My Dad was living at home - alone. He had "checked himself out" two months before from a personal care home and moved back home.

When I didn't get an answer on Sunday I was not initially concerned because I knew that my Dad loved to watch baseball and the game was on. I thought he would call me when the ball game finished. He didn't.

On Monday morning, I couldn't get an answer, so I became very concerned. My little girl and I drove up to check on him. When we arrived, I found my Dad in the floor of his kitchen - covered in blood. It was a horrible site. He was still alive, but barely. He died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

When I first started talking to Tonya, she asked me if my father had fallen because she saw him holding his head. I said, "yes." She said he wanted me to know that the fall didn't kill him - it had something to do with his heart. He had been feeling it for about a year now, but hadn't said anything. He wanted me to know that even if I had been there when it happened I couldn't have done anything. In fact, it would have been worse on me.

My father told Tonya that he was sorry he scared me - that he knew I got there - even knew the color of the shirt I was wearing. I asked him how long he had been lying there. He said, two or three hours - for a few minutes it was very painful, but then he left his body.

He gave me very specific instructions of things to do. He wanted me to give one of his cars to a friend of his. Tonya described the friend, and I knew immediately who she was referring too. He also told Tonya that there was someone (a woman) who didn't know he had died, and she was looking for him. He told Tonya where I could find her phone number. Later that day, I drove back up to my Dad's house - found the number where he said it would be - and called her. The women didn't know.

He also told me (through Tonya) some very specific things about his house, his will and his land. He told me not to keep the house that there were no memories for me there. He was worried that I would keep it for sentimental reasons - but he wanted me to know there was no reason. He didn't want me to put any money into the house - said it wasn't worth it (So like my Dad to say that:-)

He held up a fishing rod - and said that our best memories were outside the house. (As a kid, my father and I went fishing all the time - it was our favorite thing to do.)

The wording that Tonya used and the things she conveyed were so personal and so unique to my Dad that it was remarkable. She gave me such peace about my father - and such a feeling of connectedness with him. It was a wonderful healing experience for me - one that I can't imagine having gotten any other way.

Water and the Psychic

The first time I talked to Tonya Somers was an interesting experience. One of the pieces of that experience was her almost immediate comment to me about being careful about water on my farm. She said she could see problems with water. This first conversation was over two years ago --- in the summer of 2000. My well had always been skimpy, but I had never had any real trouble with water in 20 years of living here, and I told her so. She just laughed and said again: Be careful with water!

Less than a week later, I woke up to no water. Hmm. Interesting coincidence?

Two summers later, in 2002, I have had to haul in over 1000 gallons of water for livestock, quit watering the gardens altogether, learned to make do with very quickie showers, and wash one load of clothes or run the dishwasher during a day’s time.

Perhaps Tonya’s right better be saving money for a new well!

The first time I went to see Tonya I gave her a list of three names of men I was considering further involvement with. The first one I knew I wouldn't really get involved with but had him in there as a "little" test. She was right on the money about him. What really got me though was when she told me that the one I was leaning towards was very bad news. She said he had a lot of hidden secrets and would eventually hurt me.

The one that I was trying not to get involved with, she said was a great guy who would never hurt me. Well, I am now married to man number three ( the good guy) and couldn't be happier. I know that if I had not gone to visit Tonya, I would have gone down the wrong path and ignored my own instincts. She helped me recognize that.

That is one of the many things I appreciate about Tonya's gift. She doesn't know your absolute future, but she can see where it will go if you continue down a certain path.

I'm married with 3 children, just completed our 11th year of marriage.

I met a person that I connected with so much. I felt like I had known him all my life, but we just met!

I felt as though I was being pulled apart. I couldn't put the affair into a place where I could understand it and I couldn't let it go. When I talked to you, Tonya, you told me that the other man, and I, had strong past life connections & that we had been married to each other 5 times. It was as is I had been off balance and a doctor had said it was a terrible ear infection.

It made so much sense to me, most importantly, helped me recognize that my feelings were real to me and then I knew why I had such deep feelings so quickly, but also helped me know that the affair wasn't the relationship I need to have, not now, not this time.

You told me that my husband didn't want it to end. That he would do everything he could to not let it end. And that was true. After I told my husband that I realized WHY I had been so caught up-- he was able to forgive me (with some help.)

We are doing better than we have done in years and are building a strong relationship and are happy that our family wasn't torn apart by this experience.

The thing that got me "UNSTUCK" was talking with you, Tonya. I felt so much relief, felt like you helped me know what I needed to know. After I talked to you it was as though a huge weight had been lifted.

Thanks for having been a very positive force in my life. I'm very grateful that I talked to you when I did, and it helped me in a tremendous way.

A few years back I wrote you for an email reading, just a few questions about the guy I was dating. Anyway you told me he was not the one and was just 'Mr. right now' which it turned out he was. I am still single but not upset about it just still looking for the 'right one'.

I am writing to tell you that I did the $ spell that you sent out around Halloween. I did the spell a few weeks ago. The Saturday after I won $90 on a lottery bet then during the week I painted a picture for a friend and she paid me $120 then that friend and I were out to lunch we usually go on Fridays and play the lottery we shared a ticket (that was my idea) and won $737!

I did the love spell a few days after the $ spell but am still hoping while we were at lunch that day I found myself attracted to someone there (in just a few seconds) so when we left my friend went back and told him we would be there this Friday if he's interested and he asked 'what time?' and she told him not sure if he's the one but he sure looks like the one I picture when I do think I of the 'right one'.

Thank you for the reading today, I feel like I'm done sleep walking through my life and regained it again. I had a nice talk with my daughter tonight; I naturally knew the right words to say to her and she looked as if the weight of the world was lifted from her. She is excited to start yoga with me; we are going to look for a DVD and a class to take this weekend.

You had mentioned in my reading that my mom accidentally gave me her crap when she died. I can completely recall the exact moment; I handed her something in ER and she touch my hand. I felt so faint and sick, that I sat down. I remember thinking and feeling mom had given up at that point and was starting to leave her body. It was as if I instinctively knew at that precise moment that was the end. I don?t feel guilty anymore and have some closure now.

I'm going to do everything you have told me. I know I will be 100% grounded soon.
